Rooftop extension for a large scale office building

A 1800m2 extension for the beautiful Listed property in the heart of the city of London looking to add an extra 2 floors instead of the mansard roof required extensive 3D modelling and research to establish feasibility of the scheme.

Ambitious design bring modern to the historic

GBP Architects together with Planning Insight submitted a pre-application to Islington Council to review a range of schemes for the site which was rigorously reviewed by the Head of Planning and Conservation officer who are often in contradiction to each other’s views. Not an easy scheme to design but a fantastic space in the making.
