Columbia House Block A, Worthing

New Lease of life for Columbia House block A in Worthing

A fantastic development in Worthing bringing back to life a tired 1960s office block to provide 114 low cost apartments. This building forms part of a larger development incorporating public green spaces and playground, thoughtful landscaping scheme and adequate parking provision for new residents.

The scheme prises it self on affordability and is very popular with first time buyers. The sale team has seen 100% sale of the bedroom 1 flats in the first wave of release on the market. There is a waiting list for those interested and a great support from local people who enjoy seeing the commercial derelict land given a new lease of life. The site has great capacity for more housing development, and the plans are for adjacent land to see another high rise residential scheme known as Block B (Planning granted in July 2023).

GBP Architects enjoy the positive attitude of the client and construction team who worked through Covid period, overcome difficulties caused by changes to the fire regulations  and most recent market downturn, and looking forward to seeing this scheme realised in full.
