SMOOTH AND SUBTLE INTEGRATION

This completed project comprised a multi-level mixed development. GBP Architects’ first became involved to secure improved planning consent for an additional storey by creating a mansard roof that worked well with the local context.

Building a life – one floor at a time

The successful planning application comprised commercial space – workshops and offices, to adhere to local planning policy – together with 9 flats. The building footprint required subterranean car parking, including a car lift and amenity space for the flats, created via sunken courtyard gardens and terraces to the front.

Sustainable Development

This development is Part L compliant, and we exercised a common sense approach to fulfil the client’s brief and deliver a cost-effective project while ensuring that the building was thermal bridge free and had above average airtightness.

Premium Student Accommodation for a New Generation of Londoners

The development has successfully sold all residential units and in June 2020, GBP was instructed to apply for Change of Use for the commercial space to provide two additional flats.
