A sense of place

These three new build homes were uniquely designed to maximise use of the sloping site and planning restrictions, using the lower ground split levels and light wells to create distinctive urban homes. GBP Architects enjoyed designing these houses using the complexities of the site to create 3 unique architectural solutions.

The upper level comprises spacious open plan kitchen and dining area flooded with natural light from skylights and a full-height glazed courtyard. There is additional reception space on the upper level, ideal for flexible use, and 3 bedrooms on the lower level. 

Lighting up the space

GBP Architects designed these houses to sit well within the landscape, creating a seamless transition between the flooring finish of the living spaces and courtyard. The ‘pièce de résistance’ of each house was the hallway, with its cast floating staircase surrounded by floor to ceiling glass giving you a glimpse of the geometric forms in the rooms beyond.
